Our large reclaimed banister is made from repurposed and salvaged old teak panels with strong traces of the original paint in blues and creams which gives it so much character, together with reclaimed iron banister rails. The reclaimed teak and rails comes from old buildings that are too dilapidated to repair, in Rajasthan, Gujarat State and Northern India and through repurposing, are saved for future generations! They are all nineteenth century original teak and iron parts. The bannisters can be used in a garden (as they are tough teak wood) around a patio, decking or terrace area, or indeed in a home. As an old piece and there are some historic repairs and age related marks and wear and tear as you would expect. Please be sure to check all photos as these form part of the description.
