This Antique Weathered Blue & Cream Indian Teak Jali Door Garden Gate Pair is a rare and original 19th-century find, salvaged from a historic building in Gujarat State and preserved for future generations. The doors display a beautifully distressed palette of faded blue, soft cream, and hints of earthy brown, with the original iron latticework and heavy-duty bolts still intact. The upper sections feature classic arched jali (lattice) ironwork, while the lower panels are hand-carved with sunburst medallions, highlighted by the layered, timeworn paintwork.
Known in Hindi as ‘Lakdi Aur Lohe Ka Darwaza’ (wood and iron door), these doors were traditionally used as a secure, ventilated entrance at the end of a path, drive, or in front of a solid door. Today, they are perfect as a dramatic garden gate, decorative feature wall, statement shutters, or a unique backdrop for events and creative spaces. The doors are in great condition for their age, with authentic patina, historic repairs, and age-related marks that celebrate their long journey and unique story.
