This antique Indian glass Almirah, dating from around 1900, is crafted from solid teak wood and showcases vintage charm. Originating from Gujarat State, these “Kaanch Almirahs” (glass cabinets) were originally used in the drawing rooms of wealthier houses to display valuable items or in large kitchens to store crockery. Today, this versatile piece is repurposed as additional freestanding kitchen, bathroom, or utility room storage, as well as a display unit.
The Almirah features three shelves behind two glass-panelled doors, offering ample display and storage space. The original paint and iron fittings enhance its authentic appeal. As a piece over 120 years old, it showcases some historic age-related marks and wear, adding to its unique character.
