This fantastically versatile glass-fronted, two-door cupboard is crafted from solid teak wood and dates back to the 1930s. It originates from Rajasthan, India, and features a useful inner shelf and double glass panelled doors. These cupboards are called Kaanch Almirahs and were originally used in the drawing rooms of wealthier houses to display valued items, or in large kitchens to store crockery.
Today, these cupboards are repurposed as freestanding kitchen, bathroom, or utility room storage in the UK, and also make excellent display units for collections. Suitable for use in any room throughout the house. This Almirah comes in great original condition, with fine old paint and iron fittings. As an antique piece, it exhibits historic age-related marks and wear, which only adds to its character. Please examine all photos carefully as they form part of the description. Each item was sourced personally by a member of Jardinopia in Rajasthan, India.
