This unique antique Indian Almirah, dating from the 1930s, is crafted from solid teak wood and features glass panels on three sides, offering a full view of the items displayed within. Originating from Gujarat State, these “Kaanch Almirahs” (glass cabinets) were originally used in the drawing rooms of wealthier houses to display valuable items or in large kitchens to store crockery.
Today, this versatile piece is repurposed as additional freestanding kitchen, bathroom, or utility room storage, as well as a display unit for your collections. The Almirah features three shelves behind two glass-panelled doors, offering ample display and storage space. The original paint and iron fittings enhance its rustic and authentic appeal. Being nearly 100 years old, the piece showcases age-related marks and wear, adding to its unique character.
