At one time found in administrative and accounting offices throughout India, our ‘Munshi’ or writing desk originates from 1920’s India and is made from solid teak wood, with a fine old ‘limed white effect’ patinated colour. With fantastic period hand carving, it can now be used both as a writing desk, occasional or side table. With lovely proportions and in fine original condition, the ‘Munshi Table’ would take pride of place in any room of the home. This Desk is an old piece and there are some historic repairs and age related marks and wear and tear as you would expect. Please be sure to check all photos as these form part of the description.
