Antique Indian Folding Wooden Cinema Seat

Our antique Indian folding cinema seats have been rescued from cinemas across India before they are demolished. These are around 90 years old and retain all of their originl charm, such as numbers, colour and patination. Cinemas were once to be found in every town and city across India & culturally ‘bollywood’ remains a key part of Indian life. However, alas the days of the grand 1930’s deco cinemas are long past, and as in the UK, these buildings are now either repurposed as flats, or demolished. The cinema seats are rescued and now used in gardens, lounges and retail settings such as barbers and hairdressers. They are in fine original condition and are sturdy and strong. They add a bit of 1930’s glamour to wherever they are placed. Dimensions: Length 51cm x Depth 49cm x Height 80cm.
