This Vintage Indian Teak Wood Reclaimed Jali Door Cabinet is a piece of history. It’s been crafted by artisans in Rajasthan using old teak timbers and doors reclaimed from historic buildings. The doors, often referred to in Hindi as ‘Lakdi Aur Lohe Ka Darwaza’ (wood and iron door), historically served as a first line of defense in notable homes. Each piece has been personally sourced by a member of Jardinopia in Rajasthan, India.
The ‘Jali’ doors feature perforated lattice ironwork, providing ventilation and security. Re-purposed for modern use, this cabinet is ideal as a statement piece. Crafted from old timbers and doors, the cabinet has historic repairs and age-related marks, repairs, and wear as you would expect.
