Description
Our reclaimed teak wood vintage Indian wall mirror (Lakdi Ka Aaina in Hindi ) has been made by craftsmen from repurposed and salvaged old teak Indian window frames, door surrounds and architectural carvings. They are mostly carved and with traces of the original paint which gives them so much character. The reclaimed teak wood comes from old buildings that are too dilapidated to repair, in Rajasthan, Gujarat State and Northern India and through repurposing are saved for future generations! They are all nineteenth (or earlier) century original timbers. Each mirror comes with sturdy ‘ready to hang’ hooks on the rear. Sometimes with some minor restoration required to ensure they reach you in original but in a fully functional solid condition. As an old piece and there are some historic repairs and age related marks and wear and tear as you would expect. Please be sure to check all photos as these form part of the description.
