This Antique Olive Green & Ochre Indian Teak Jali Door Garden Gate Pair is a truly rare and original 19th-century find, salvaged from a historic building in Gujarat State and preserved for future generations. The doors showcase a beautifully aged olive green and ochre painted finish, with hints of weathered brown and blue peeking through the patina, and are adorned with original heavy iron fittings and bolts. The upper sections feature classic jali (lattice) ironwork, while the lower panels are hand-carved with floral medallions highlighted in blue and ochre, making these doors a striking statement piece.

Traditionally known as ‘Lakdi Aur Lohe Ka Darwaza’ in Hindi, these doors served as a first line of defence in grand homes—positioned at the end of a path, drive, or in front of a solid door to allow air to circulate while maintaining security. Today, they are ideal for use as a dramatic garden gate, decorative feature wall, statement shutters, or even as a unique backdrop for events and film sets.
