Antique Indian Teak Wood Library Cabinet

A very fine quality antique Burma teak wood Library Cabinet from Calcutta. These were widely used in the libraries and senior civil servant homes in major Indian cities during the 19th and early 20th centuries. This is a wonderful original example with 4 strong shelves and dates from between 1900-1920. A fine original example comes with a great 2 door base which is for storage too. Whilst in good original condition, this wonderful antique comes with the odd blemish that you would expect of an antique of this age. Dimensions: Length 100 x Width 46 x Height 194cm
