Description

This wonderfully rare and original nineteenth century painted teak wood kitchen table is heavy and comes with a solid table top. It has almost certainly come from a large well to do Victorian kitchen and would have been used to prepare ingredients, chop vegetables etc. It was probably painted in the 1920’s, and could equally well be used as a desk, with 2 large drawers. It is now well over 120 years old in Indian teak wood, and in beautiful original condition, ready to grace any lounge, kitchen, study or dining room. Tables from India are found in an extraordinary variety of styles, sizes, colours and shapes reflecting the many purposes and regions they came from. It is now very hard to find these in such a good size and in original condition, that can be usefully placed anywhere. This is also a unique one of piece which was made by hand many years ago and has a lovely patina which really shows its age and history. There are some historic minor repairs and age related marks and wear and tear as you would expect. Please be sure to check all photos as these form part of the description.
